Halo: Reach is a first-person shooter set in 2552, serving as a prequel to Halo: Combat Evolved. In the year 2552, humanity is losing its war against the Covenant, an alliance of alien races bent on extermination. Noble Six, the newest member of Noble Team, a squad of elite Spartan supersoldiers, joins the fight to defend Reach. As the invasion intensifies and the planet's defenses crumble, Noble Team is entrusted with delivering an artificial intelligence and vital data to the UNSC ship Pillar of Autumn, a mission that demands sacrifice from every member of the squad. One by one, the team gives everything to ensure the ship's escape, carrying with it the last hope for humanity's survival.
