Set in a near-future world spanning 2054 to 2061, Advanced Warfare follows Jack Mitchell, a young United States Marine whose life is upended in the opening days of a war. During a mission to repel a North Korean invasion of Seoul, Mitchell loses his arm and his close friend Will Irons is killed in action, leaving him medically discharged and adrift. At Will's funeral, Mitchell is approached by Will's father, Jonathan Irons, the charismatic founder and CEO of Atlas, the world's most powerful private military corporation. Irons offers Mitchell a fresh purpose, a cutting-edge prosthetic arm, and a place among Atlas's elite soldiers. As a terrorist group called the KVA unleashes catastrophic attacks around the globe, Atlas steps in where nations falter, rising to become the dominant military power on Earth. Drawn deep into Irons's private army, Mitchell soon finds himself questioning where true loyalty and justice lie.
